Bruce County Processing Record Number of Planning Applications

They say 110 applications were received in Q1 2022, compared to a  previous record of 108 in the same quarter a year ago.

The Bruce County Planning & Development Department say they continue to receive a record-breaking volume of planning applications through the first quarter of 2022.

They say 110 applications were received in that timeframe, compared to a  previous record of 108 in the same quarter a year ago.

Planning Staff says they are working to process the applications and bring them forward for decisions.

Large scale development projects that were approved over the last several months include final approval for the West Ridge on the Lake Subvision in Kincardine which is set to provide between 373 and 447 units maximum in a mix of low medium and high densities. There was also draft approval of the Walker Hill Subdivision in Walkerton with at least 80 units, including 48 townhouses.
