The Bruce County Public Library has received dementia friendly designation.

The library partnering up with the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce will help train staff in providing a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals living with dementia as well as their care partners.

As a result, the Alzheimer Society has recognized all 17 branches of the library and the bookmobile as dementia friendly community supporters.

Library Board Chairman Mark Goetz says this reflects their dedication to creating a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can have barrier free access to the resources they need.
