The Ontario government is set to provide Bruce County with $60,000 in support of accessible housing that promote inclusivity for older adults and persons with disabilities.

The funding is through the Inclusive Community Grants Program provided to municipalities, Indigenous groups and community organizations.

MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson says these type of grants are taking the steps to properly plan out the infrastructure needs to care for citizens now, and in the future.

The funding is in support of the Exploring a Bruce County Seniors Home Sharing Program and a consultant report that will provide direction and an outline to prioritize the next steps in the initiative.
