Bruce County is looking to bring nearly 30 more electric vehicle chargers to the region and they’ve issued an RFP to interested consultants.
The county is looking to add up to 16 Level 3 fast chargers and 13 Level 2 chargers. The plan is to install the fast chargers at locations in Ferndale, Kincardine, Lion’s Head, Lucknow, Paisley, Saugeen Shores, Tobermory, and Wiarton.
There are currently five level 2 chargers at public locations in Walkerton, Wiarton Southampton and Kincardine.
The RFP will close on Feb. 17.
Huron County installed 22 new chargers late last year through a similar agreement with private companies.
