The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board issued a labour update this afternoon in response to plans from CUPE of a full withdrawal of services on Friday, November 4th.

In the update they say this will mean no Education Assistants, Custodiams, Office Admin, Early Childhood Educators, Library Technicians, IT Field Technicians and CUPE staff at their Catholic Education Centre.

This represents 420 permanent and casual employees or 41 percent of their staff.

As such the board says it plans to close all Secondary and Elementary schools in the Bruce-Grey Catholic District on Friday unless a new central agreement is reached.

In addition to schools all before and after school programs will be closed Friday as well.

This move will not impact Brockton Child Care and Wooden Hill Child Care Centres which will remain open.
