A diverse group of more than 25 private & public organizations have joined together in an initiative led by Hydrogen Optimized out of Owen Sound.
It sees Grey & Bruce Counties and the City of Own Sound move forward in the creation of the Grey-Bruce Hydrogen Hub.
The group met last week to explore ways to establish Grey-Bruce as a leader in clean hydrogen technology, production, and use.
They aim to try to develop a strategy for the region next year. Potential end-use applications include hydrogen fueled municipal vehicle fleets using technology from Hydrogen Optimized.
Bruce County Warden Chris Peabody says initiatives like this help increase economic prosperity and sustainable grown for the communities.
