Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound & Huron-Bruce set for over $1 Million in Transit Funding

Arran-Elderslie, Brockton, Chatsworth, Hanover, Huron-Kinloss, Kincardine, Saugeen Shores, Southgate and West Grey will receive $748,745, Owen Sound $259,379 and Meaford $73,439.

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound is set to receive more than $1 million dollars in additional funding to support the expansion and improvement of public transit in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound and Huron-Bruce.

The funding is part of Ontario’s gas tax program which has seen more than $379 million assist 107 municipalities operate and improve local transit.

The Municipalities of Arran-Elderslie, Brockton, Chatsworth, Hanover, Huron-Kinloss, Kincardine, Saugeen Shores, Southgate and West Grey will receive $748,745, Owen Sound $259,379 and Meaford $73,439.

MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson says that through this gas tax allocation, they are building better transit infrastructure services.
