Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff has issued a statement following confirmed reports of threats, harassment and intolerance toward area residents flying the pride flag.
Ruff says he is saddened, disappointed, and frankly disgusted to hear that some individuals proudly flying the pride flag have been targeted by malicious, hateful anonymous messages through postal mail.
He adds it has no place in our communities or in Canada.
He goes on to condemn the cowardly acts of this individual.
Owen Sound Police are currently undertaking an investigation into the letters received with them asking anyone who receives one to come forward.
