Bruce Power and its supplier partners have marked a $170,000 donation for a list of organizations across Bruce, Grey and Huron county’s to support families over Christmas.
In partnership with United Way Bruce Grey, a total of $40,000 was raised for local toy and food drives across the Clean Energy Frontier, with the company also donating $2000 to each of the areas 38 food banks.
Principals at elementary and secondary schools across the region handed out $50,000 in grocery stores gift cards to students and their families, women’s shelters and Indigenous and Metis communities also received thousands in gift cards.
Bruce Grey Child and Family Services and Huron-Perth Children’s Aid received $10,000 for winter clothing to share with families across the region.
