Bruce Power is partnering up with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre to support a potentially life saving clinical trail in sterotactic radiosurgery using medical grade cobalt-60.

Bruce Power is providing $95,000 in funding over the next three years to Sunnybrook’s Cancer Adaptive Ablation Therapy Program to look into the future of sterotactic radiosurgery.

Bruce Power CEO and Executive-Vice President, James Scongack says Colbalt-60 is critical in the global health care system for non invasive cancer treatments and has been used for decades to help patients through radiation oncology and nuclear medicine and with the professionals at Sunnybrook they are providing the foundation to advance cancer treatments and procedures to help save lives.
