The Bluewater District School Board is putting their foot forward on ensuring the products they purchase are Canadian made.
At their board meeting on Tuesday, Vice-Chair Jan Johnstone brought forward the motion on the procurement of Canadian products which passed.
The motion came with the ongoing trade situation between Canada and the United States.
Chair Jane Thomson says while the board already does buy a lot domestically it is especially important now for them to prioritize local businesses and those within Ontario and Canada.
