There has been a change in municipal bylaw enforcement in Goderich.
This all comes after a very busy summer by the waterfront in July and August where bylaw found the issues to maintain the standards.
A special council meeting was called to look at adding more bylaw enforcement during the busy summer months, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays.
Goderich Mayor Trevor Bazinet says just how much extra enforcement they added in for these times.
“So we approved that, we hired a security company that provides 4-6 staff members on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s been a great extra presence for us down at the waterfront and we are getting a bunch of positive feedback” said Bazinet.
Bazinet says this is something they are looking to do next year as well.
