A Huron East resident is facing charges relating to an incident that happened on August 15.
Police were called regarding a person causing a disturbance on Huron Road in Clinton.
When Huron County OPP arrived, the accused was discovered in the middle of the road swinging a weapon in the direction of citizens and vehicles.
The accused approached the officer, almost making contact, then took off on foot.
A short foot chase ended when the accused was taken into custody.
A 29 year old Huron East resident is facing charges of Assaulting a Peace Officer, Causing a Disturbance and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
The accused remains in custody and will appear in court.
