Work is expected to begin later this year on four moderator heat exchangers, as part of a $40-million contract awarded to a Cambridge area manufacturer.

Bruce Power awarded the contract to BWXT Canada.

The Cambridge company will design and build four moderator heat exchangers, which will be used to remove heat from nuclear reactors.

The first two units are expected to be delivered in 2024, with the remaining two scheduled for delivery the following year..

Minister of Energy Todd Smith says this contract represents a significant investment into the province’s clean energy future.
