If you’re expecting packages to your home but are receiving emails or texts from Canada Post about delivery issues, officials say this is nothing more than a scam.
Locally, residents have shared suspected messages from Canada Post of an undelivered parcel but due to nobody being home and no safe place to drop it off, are requesting a reschedule and providing a link to do so.
Officials urges residents to not open the link and to delete any emails or texts they receive.
Canada Post will only leave a delivery notice card at your door or mailbox and not contact you by email unless you have requested it.
More information on Canada Post scams are available from their website.
