The Canadian Finance & Leasing Association released a report recently on the Illegal Export of Stolen Automobiles.

In it they cover the issues including vehicle theft in places like Toronto have seen a jump of 300% since 2015.

They discuss such things as the way the vehicles are stolen.

Recommendations on strategies needing to be immediately implemented, a more extended outlook and long-term strategies.

The rate in which stolen vehicles have been recovered has plummeted over time as well.

It sat at 90 percent in 1990 and now sits at closer to 50% currently.
