The Clean Energy Frontier is boasting an increase in people coming to work and live in our area.

They say a report from Statistics Canada revealed that results of the 2016 census showed that Bruce, Grey, and Huron County regions grew by 6.5 percent.

That is 12 percent faster than all of Ontario, and 25 percent faster than the entire country.

They say in 2021, every municipality in Bruce County increased in population.

Co-Chair Janice Jackson said in a news release that growth in the region hasn’t happened by accident.

She says local economic strategic planning along with the ongoing life-extension work at Bruce Power is fostering this surge.
