Chapman Ice Cream attended a meeting of Grey Highlands Council last month to review the Municipality’s waste water capacity as well as announce a planned expansion of their facility in Markdale.
Joe Jacobs, Vice President of Operations at the company outlines what they have planned for the Phoenix 3 expansion.
“It’s quite an impressive building, we are expecting to be employing full time around 150-200 additional employees at Chapmans. A lot of these positions will be higher level positions.” said Jacobs.
The expansion of the facility, called Phoenix 3 will see a new 175,000 square foot building added to the site.
It will mean the company would be for a time the largest ice cream maker in North America.
