On June 17th at about 6:39pm, Grey Bruce OPP, West Grey Police Services, West Grey Fire department and Grey County EMS responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision.
The collision involved a motor vehicle as well as a motorcycle on Highway 6, Township of West Grey.
The motorcycle was transported to the Durham Hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
The deceased individual has been identified and was 24 years of age from Georgian Bluff Township.
Grey Bruce OPP were able to arrest and charge the 62 year old accused from Utopia with several offenses including Operation while impaired with a blood alcohol level 80 plus and Operation causing two counts of death.
The accused was released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
The OPP of Grey Bruce are continuing this investigation alongside the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.
