The Bruce County Library shared word of a generous donation it received recently from the Chesley Area Friends of the Library.
The donation of $7,680 was towards the Bookmobile campaign that would serve the under-serviced communities in Bruce County.
The donation is the final for the group who are disbanding at the end of the year.
The Friends have volunteering in Chesley for close to two decades and were awarded the Gabriele Schrieber Friends of the Year Award in 2007 for their efforts that resulted in over $50,000 raised in support of the Chesley branch.
