The South Bruce Grey Health Centre announced that the Chesley Hospital Emergency Department is set to resume weekday service beginning Monday, December 5th.
The department will be open weekdays from 7 am until 5pm and closed overnight and weekends.
The change was approved at a South Bruce Grey Health Centre Board meeting yesterday.
A full closure had bee implemented back on October 6th for 8 weeks due to a critical shortage of nurses.
Since that time the Health Centre has been evaluating the level of service that can be safely provided with the staffing resources available.
They advise that the new setup is a temporary solution for an indefinite period of time.
