The South Bruce Grey Health Centre announces just after 6:30 am this morning that it has temporarily closed the Chesley Hospital Emergency Department due to staffing shortages.
The department will be closed all day today, Tuesday, June 20th and is set to reopen tomorrow morning, Wednesday, June 21st at 7am.
Ambulances will bypass the hospital and take patients to the nearest open Emergency Department.
The area has seen other ER closures recently due to similar issues in Clinton, Seaforth and Wingham.
