Grey Bruce OPP kept busy in a recent commercial motor vehicle blitz in the region last week.
On June 25th, a CMV inspection was done in Saugeen Shores alongside Saugeen Shores Police with 28 inspections done.
As a result 16 vehicles were taken out of service, 32 charges were laid, 22 warnings were issued and 4 sets of plates were seized.
In total 4 days of inspections were done with 130 CMV’s looked at with 56 of the vehicles taken out of service and 174 total charges laid.
Grey Bruce OPP say transport truck crashes carry unique risks as the size and weight of these vehicles can have catastrophic outcomes.
