Community Living Kincardine & District says that October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
It was established to increase awareness of the positive outcomes of hiring persons with disabilities in Canada.
Community Living’s JobsWork program provides people living with disabilities meaningful opportunities in employment with the same rights, entitlements, and opportunities to pursue fulfilling and rewarding work.
The organization works with schools and employers on its JobWork’s Youth Discovery program to build partnerships & community capacity to support youth with disabilities to make the transition from high school to employment.
