If you’re travelling to the US by air today, you’ll want to check the status of your flight, as hundreds of planes have been grounded or delayed due to a computer outage.
The Federal Aviation Administration says they’re working on restoring its Notice to Air Missions System, and they’re ordered a pause to all domestic departures until 9 a.m.
All aircraft are required to route through the system, including commercial and military flights.
As of 8 a.m., there were over 3,500 flights delayed within the U.S. according to Flightaware.
Delays are to be expected for Canadian flights departing to the US this morning.
Given an FAA system outage, we advise all US-bound passengers to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport. https://t.co/8EcwDAKGfG
