The Town of Saugeen Shores have filled their remaining vacancy on Council.
Catherine “Mini” Jacques was appointed to the Port Elgin Ward seat by Council at Monday’s meeting.
Jacques was one of eight candidates in the running.
She succeeds Kristan Shrider who resigned earlier this year after accepting a job as Director of Community Services with the Town.
Jacques will serve on Council for the remainder of the term which will be until November of this year.
This year’s municipal election is on October 24th.
