Huron County council have denied a request to dish out funding for the repairs on the Menesetung Bridge.
The bridge association came to council to get some support for the repairs which is expected to run a bill of $960,000.
The group does have funds needed to get the work done but some funds are needed to cover repairs on the base of the piers, more specifically around $180,000 short.
Council for the most part wouldn’t budge given a community grant moratorium in place.
The public is able to support the association with donations which can be made online.
