Council gives provisional approval for site plan agreement on a new residential development in Port Elgin

There is another residential development set for the north end of Port Elgin.

Saugeen Shores Council gave provisional approval at their Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday to a site plan agreement for a 55-townhouse unit called Camden Estates in the area of Waterloo and Mary Rose Streets.

22 of the townhomes will have ancillary units bringing the total number to 77.

Mayor Luke Charbonneau says it is important to have more housing available especially high-density development in their community.

The developer, Golf Links Limited, are pledging to plant a tree for every unit they built for the development.
