Bruce County, Grey County, the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority and the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority have issued a joint call for respect of lands.
The statement calls for greater respect for trails, beaches, forests and conservation lands.
Illegal motorized vehicle use continues to cause damage, disrupt natural habitats and divert critical funding away from recreational improvements.
Funds which are meant for trail maintenance, accessibility improvements and new recreational opportunities are being taken over by costly repairs from the use of illegal motorized vehicles on conservation and county lands.
When riders damage these lands, its up to the municipalities, counties and conservation authorities to cover the front of cost to restore them.
