Covid-19 Cases Jump Across Huron Perth and Grey Bruce Today

Huron Perth Public Health reported 50 new cases of Covid-19 in the Region today from over the weekend.

There are 5 active School Outbreaks. The latest of which is at Milverton Public School declared on December 9th and encompassing 2 student cases. The other active outbreaks are at Perth Care for Kids in Perth East, North Perth Westfield at both the Elementary and Before and After School Programs and Elma Township Public School.

There are 3 workplace outbreaks at undisclosed locations.

Active cases in the Region sit at 115.

Grey Bruce Public Health reported 20 new cases in that Region. Highest by Municipality were 6 in Owen Sound.

Active cases sit at 89.

Grey Bruce has over 900 active high risk contacts isolating. They say the number is evolving by the hour and is just an estimate.

3 local residents are hospitalized due to Covid-19.
