The deadline is quickly approaching to fill a vacant seat on Brockton council.

A seat has been open in the council chambers since June 18th when Deputy Mayor James Lang resigned with Kym Hutcheson being appointed to the role on July 9th.

In that time, Hutcheon’s seat on council was then declared vacant at the following meeting on August 13th.

The deadline to apply for the open seat is September 16th with those interested needing to complete a Council Vacancy Application Form.

Candidates will get the chance to present to Brockton council on October 1st at 7pm.
