The deadline for Huron-Kinloss’s participation in the FoodCycler Pilot Project is Sunday, April 2nd.
They say that there are limited quantities remaining but anyone who signs up will be automatically added to a waitlist and notified if they qualify.
The program sees the Township partner with Ottawa based Food Cycle Science to provide 130 highly subsidized FoodCycler units to residents for a 12-week pilot project where participants track the amount of food waste that is diverted to estimate the total impact on the landfill. When done the unit is residents to keep.
