The Huron County OPP have charged a Huron-Kinloss Township driver after they were caught sleeping in their vehicle in Howick Township early Monday morning.
Officers on patrol on Amberley Road located a parked vehicle around 12:41 am. The driver was seen sleeping and they were eventually able to get their attention. They initially refused to exit the vehicle and additional officers were called to assist.
Once they were removed from the vehicle it was determined they had consumed alcohol prior to driving.
The driver refused to provide breath samples and resisted officers during processing.
A 38-year-old male faces charges including impaired operation, refusal of a breath demand, and resisting arrest.
