The new & expanded Rockwood Terrace long-term care home in Durham took another step towards construction recently with the awarding of an early-work tender to JT Excavating.
They are set to prepare the site for the build set for next year through 2026.
Early work includes levelling the property, servicing water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure to meet current & future needs.
West Grey & Grey are sharing the $2.5 million dollar cost with West Grey kicking in $700,000.
Early work will be completed in 2 phases.
Phase 1 is expected to last until May of next year.
The second phase will see pavement and sidewalks around the site.
