The Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs announced today the list of 39 paramedics across Ontario that will be recognized in a ceremony this evening for service excellence.
The Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal bar is given for providing exemplary EMS service for at least 30 years.
The honour was created back in 1994 by the late Governor General of Canada, Romeo LeBlanc.
Each bar to the Exemplary Service Medal represents an additional award of a Medal. 1 is for 30 years, 2 for 40 years and 3 for fifty.
Locally in Grey County Paramedic Dennis Menegotto is being awarded his first bar.
