It’s a positive trend on local results of the Education Quality and Accountability Office testing for students with the Bluewater District School Board.
Assessments on the grade 3 level all saw significant improvement with grade 3 reading rising from 62 per cent in 2022-23 to 68 per cent in 2024-25.
Writing also rose in the same time period from 50 per cent to 57 with a much larger increase in math going from 48 per cent to 62.
Gains were also seen at the grade 6 level with reading jumping from 76 per cent to 79 per cent, writing sitting at 78 per cent compared to 73 per cent three years ago with math not changing, staying at 39 per cent.
