The rain didn’t stop from people in Ripley from getting their COVID-19 vaccine.

The GO-VAXX bus made a stop in at the Ripley Huron Community Centre on Monday.

It is an actual GO bus that has been modified into a full-functioning vaccination clinic complete with a nurse, paramedic, pharmacist, assistants, and of course a bus driver!

The mobile clinic is operated by Medavie Health Services and spokesman Mike Adair says the clinics began serving the Toronto area but have expanded to rural areas as well.

Adair says the personnel have adapted well to working in close quarters and its success has been how easily accessible is for people.

There are two more GO-VAXX mobile clinics taking place in our area, one is Tuesday afternoon at the North Huron Wescast Community Centre in Wingham from Noon to 6, and another is happening Wednesday at the Festive Marketplace Shopping Centre in Stratford from 11 to 6.
