Fraud and scams continue to be a major issues across the area.
Saugeen Shores Police to help raise more awareness is holding a session about Fraud Prevention and Protection.
The session will highlight the types of frauds, protecting yourself and not sharing your personal information.
Sargent Andy Evans with Saugeen Shores Police says its tough for them to help the victims of fraud as more often getting the money back just doesn’t work out.
“The easy thing for us to identify is the victims which isn’t good. They tend to lose a substantial amount of money and the money moves to remote places where its hard for us to find.” said Evans.
The complementary info session is being held on May 8th at Elgin Lodge in the theater room.
