The Ontario Government has expanded the Learn and Stay Grant, which provides full, upfront funding for tuition, books and other costs for students who enroll in eligible programs and agree to stay in underserviced communities after graduation.
Georgian College is set to benefit this expansion at its Owen Sound Campus with its Honours Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree and Practical Nursing Diploma program.
Georgian President & CEO Kevin Weaver says the funding will not only make nursing studies more accessible to local students but also attract others from outside the area who want to launch a rewarding nursing career.
