A resident of Goderich is facing several impaired driving charges following a single vehicle collision last week.
On Friday, Oct. 7 around 1:45 a.m. Huron County OPP responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Hwy 8 and Orchard Line.
Upon arrival officers located an unoccupied vehicle off the roadway in the steep ditch. Police located a passenger near the scene and then later located the driver at a residence in Goderich.
Upon speaking with the driver, officers noted they were displaying signs of impairment.
The 29-year-old man was arrested and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for further testing.
The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Nov. 14 in Goderich.
