The Goderich Kinsmen saw a local youth awarded the Kin Canada Bursary from over 600 submissions.
Alyssa Sturdy was chosen with a group of 52 other to receive $1,000 from the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund to assist with her post-secondary education.
The bursary was created back in 1994 and has distributed nearly $1.3 million dollars to 1,287 students across Canada.
Hal Rogers was the founder of Kin Canada who created it back in 1920.
It grew from 6 clubs in 1926 to 400 coast to coast.
