The Goderich Port Management Corporation is exploring the possible expansion of its wharf facilities to increase business at the pivotal transportation link for the area.

The Goderich site is the largest deep-sea port in the east side of Lake Huron.

The site grew by 4-acres back in 2020 and added an additional dock. They now want to continue to grow to increase capacity at the site.

It would service major current port tenants include Compass Minerals, Parrish & Heimbecker, Da-Lee Dust Control and the Tomlinson Group as well as attempt to attracting more.

The Port currently handles around 6 million tonnes of annual cargo and sees around 250 vessels.

A video was prepared on the port expansion back in 2020.
