Goderich swimmer named to Canada’s Down Syndrome Team

A former Goderich and current Stratford resident has been recruited for the Canadian Down Syndrome Swim Team.

Amiera Black has joined the team and has been given the opportunity to represent the country at the 10th World Down Syndrome Swimming Championships in Portugal in October.

Black, who was born and raised in Goderich swam for the Wilmot Aquatic Aces out of Wilmot and Woodstock pools for the last 5 seasons.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help make the dream, a reality to head to Portugal.
