On Saturday, February 4th the community of Goderich will see the return of a popular event, the Rotary Chili Cookoff.
The location has changed for this year moving from it’s past home at the Suncoast Mall in Goderich to the Memorial Arena at 180 McDonald Street.
Rotary Executive Philip Keightley says that due to it taking place at the same time as the Winterfest event at the arena they have limited groups offering their chili to 10.
“It was good to be able to partner with the town of Goderich, and Lisa Hood there. We really are excited as we got all 10 spots filled very quickly actually”.
The Chili-Cookoff is moving from a $7 per head for trying all of the chili to a donate-what-you can with a suggested donation of $5 to $10 per person with all proceeds going in support of the Goderich Free Little Pantry.
The event runs from 11 am to 2pm.
