2021 proved to be a busy year for Kincardine Good Food Box.
According to a post on Facebook, they say there has been between 130 and 193 boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables distributed to families and organizations that year.
They say each month two boxes go to the Kincardine Food Bank and one to the Canadian Mental Health Association office.
Part of the large amount of boxes was because of an initiative by Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort (OSHaRE) in collaboration with the Grey Bruce Health Unit where tokens were given out to churches, public housing, and other agencies to be distributed to their clients.
Each token was good for one Good Food Box.
Organizers of the Good Food Box Kincardine want to thank the community for their generosity.
