Grey Bruce Airbus announced on Friday that after much consideration they decided to cease operations permanently.
The company had provided transportation to and from Pearson Airport and private service to other airports along with charters. Airbus says that they do realize their service was vital to the area but they had to make the move for themselves, noting that it was too difficult to bring back the shared ride in a cost-effective method without government subsidies.
Grey Bruce Airbus had served the community for 35 years.
The company encouraged anyone looking for individual or small group rides to contact Graham Driving Services or Ross Young Bus Lines in Tiverton for larger groups.
