Grey Bruce Health Unit Updates on Eligibility for 3rd Covid Vaccine Doses

Person must be at least 6 Months since receiving Second Dose to Get Third Dose

Grey Bruce Public Health issued a reminder today on the eligibility of residents for a third dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

In the update they indicate that the group includes:

  • People 70 years and older (based on calendar year)
  • Eligible Healthcare Workers & Designated Essential Caregivers in Congregate Settings
    • All Hospital & Acute Care Staff
    • Patient facing Healthcare workers/staff
    • Medical First Responders (including  in Grey-Bruce Paramedics, Firefighters who Provide Medical First Response, Police and Special Constables)
    • Healthcare & Essential Caregivers in Congregate Settings (Assisted Living, Correctional, Shelters, LTC, Retirement Homes, Supportive Housing, Hospices and Palliative Care)
    • Home & Community Care Health Care Workers who Provide In-Person Care
  • Any person who received two doses of AstraZeneca or Janssen vaccines
  • Indigenous, Metis and Inuit Adults (over 18 years of age) and any household members

Anyone who is newly eligible must have been 6 months following their Second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
