The Mobile Crisis Response team for Grey Bruce officially launched this week, with three clinicians set to begin working in Kincardine, Chatsworth and Wiarton.
The team is a collaborative partnership between local OPP and the Grey Bruce Health Unit that has been developed over the last year.
The response team will work with police on calls involving crisis and mental health, with the goal of deescalating the situation, providing timely supports and deferring people from the criminal justice system whenever possible.
