The Grey Bruce OPP and Grey Bruce Health Services announced the launch of a Mobile Crisis Response Team Pilot Project on Saugeen First Nation.
The community-based collaborative partnership will see GBHS Clinicians stationed in Saugeen First Nation and available to individuals and families.
They will be able to assist in calls for service involving crisis, mental health, and addictions.
The workers will be able to assist with situations such as de-escalation and short-term crisis intervention as well as safety planning & stabilization, referrals to appropriate long-term support services and recovery-oriented interventions.
The Pilot Project will work alongside pre-existing Saugeen First Nation and Wellness Teams.
