The Grey Bruce OPP Marine Unit was kept busy last weekend responding to 8 marine related calls between July 28th and 30th.

It saw officers respond to a call for a distressed vessel around 1:14 pm on Saturday.

With the assistance of the Coast Guard it made it back to shore safely. Then just over an hour later police got reports of a sea doo taking on water.

All occupants were wearing life jackets and were brought to shore safely.

Police assisted a capsized sailboat a little over an hour after that at 3:44 pm with all occupants found wearing lifejackets.

They were all brought safely back to shore.

On Sunday Police notified of 2 missing children in Sauble Beach. The Marine Unit patrolled the water, with the children located safely on shore.

Also Sunday 7 paddleboarders out on the lake from Tobermory were found without lifejackets.

They remind everyone that on a paddleboard you must have a PFD and a sounding device.
